Program: Craig Altschul Update on Jazz 2022
The theme will be A Legacy of Music. Music that is started in grade school and high school can be enjoyed throughout life.
Craig reported that sponsorships have increased to $22,500. Still accepting more sponsors if members have someone that would like to sponsor. Will be meeting with Quail Creek to set up the final menu. Prices will be going up but ticket prices have been increased to $55.
Michelle Lewis and Sue Horton with a committee of 10 are getting many donations for the silent auction that they will be putting together for the event. Their goal is to have 65 items for the evening concert and 10 items for the matinee. This year has been difficult for merchants to donate items for the auction so the committee is putting together baskets. The baskets are sponsored by a club member and other club members can donate items for the baskets. Bring items to the meeting along with monetary donations for baskets. The following is a list of the baskets:
Nancy Greene - Well Prepared Chef
Deborah Wright - Playing in the Dirt
Sandy Wahl - Cats rule the World
Michelle Lewis - Going to the Dogs
Dean Tibbetts - Hole in One
Ron Darrah - Its a Guy Thing
Tom Cook - Martini Madness (Tom said he has everything he needs for this basket)
Mark Horton - Lets go to the Movies
Steve Sibulsky - Tech Toy Box
Joanne - Mamma Mia
All Women in Club - Golden GIrls
Carol Pfister - Coffee Klatch
More people will be needed in February to set up the items for silent auction.
Steve Sibulsky reported that so far there will be four live auction items. Get away to the Jim Click cabin in the White Mountains, About $700 worth of lottery tickets, Sheri Darrah donation of art and Mexican Getaway.
Craig said at a club mtg in late February, the committee will be asking for volunteers in many areas for Jazz 2022. Please be thinking of where you would like to help.
Next week:  Meet at American Legion #131 Esperanza & La Canada.  Park in back.  Program:  FICO-FCAP Water System
