“Turning the page for someone and changing lives” was the impetus for formation of The Rotary Vocational Fund of Arizona. TRVFA was established in 1990 by Rotary Districts throughout Arizona to provide financial support through scholarships to qualified candidates in obtaining education, training and skill development so they may, in turn, attain career-oriented employment. Today’s guest speaker, Marc Snow, the current Secretary of TRVFA, Past President of the Oro Valley Club and current Assistant Governor of District 5500, addressed our Club. We learned that TRVFA is a 501(c)3 qualified tax credit organization. Partnering Rotary Clubs throughout the state have made it possible through donated funds to award in 2019 $108,000 in scholarship money to 60 qualified candidates. Each received about $2000 in scholarship awards.

Marc closed his presentation by encouraging us to participate and donate to TRVFA. He also suggested Valle Verde Club become involved with the program by sponsoring and interviewing candidates for scholarship awards.
