There is good news regarding Jim Donahue.  Phil Silvers wrote to say he visited Jim the other day at the VA and he was mending and getting ready to go home to recuperate.  Unfortunately, Jim tried to get out of bed on Saturday and took a fall but he seems to have recovered from.  Jim, we are looking forward to having you back at our meetings.

We know we have a great Rotary Club but a recent report on contributions to the Rotary Foundation has Valle Verde Rotary Club #1 in District 5500 in per capita giving! Way to go Rotarians. But there is a more important fact about our Rotary Club that needs to be recognized--we step up.  Jack Grieves is doing our monthly meeting reports and it is great to have a new reporter to give Tarra, Peter and Dick a break.

On the social front, we will be cohosting the I 19 Corridor Mixer this Saturday evening at La Posada in the La Perla Building.  The catering will be by the fine folks who provide all of the great food at La Posada and a cash bar will be available. Max will have more news at the meeting and remind you about the two football tickets that he has for sale.

I noticed while walking the dogs this morning that more garbage cans were at the curbside than normal signaling the return of the snowbirds.  Welcome back Sojourners!
